- Where were you born and what makes that city special?
I was born in New York City – a city that needs no introduction. What makes New York City special to me is that it Is truly an international city where visitors can find anything – from enjoying exotic cuisines from all over the world to world class museums, New York City has it all. Although I grew up primarily in the DC Metro area, New York City has something for everyone.
- What activities or hobbies do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy spending time with my family, trying out new restaurants and recipes, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs or West Virginia Mountaineers.
- What inspired you to pursue the legal field?
When I graduated college and started working in the motorcycle industry, I found that the legal field seemed to touch every aspect of the business, from product liability, contracts, marketing and advertising, gaming, corporate governance, M&A, and securities. I thought pursuing the legal field would provide a better understanding of how businesses work.
- What did you do prior to graduating law school?
Prior to graduating law school, I worked in the Southern California motorcycle industry and did some road racing at the Willow Springs Motorcycle Club and Chuckwalla Valley Motorcycle Association.
- What motivates you as an attorney?
I enjoy challenging myself and learning new things. I find the best parts of myself when faced with intellectual challenges and find it immensely satisfying when I can solve a complex problem.
- How would you describe yourself as a person?
I would like to describe myself as a competitive family man. I find myself always seeking challenges and testing myself, whether it is in a high-octane desert race or on a court’s docket. At the same time, I also enjoy being a dad and being the provider of terrible jokes and ice cream cones.
- If you could meet anyone famous, who would it be?
I don’t have a strong interest in meeting anyone famous, as I have been very fortunate to meet many celebrities, athletes, and musicians. It would be more meaningful to me to have seen my grandmother one more time – to tell her that I love her and I’m trying to make her proud.
- Do you have a bucket list? If so, what does that list include?
I would really enjoy taking the family to Germany to visit relatives and experience how they live. I think it would also be fun to learn the language to enhance the experience. I also think it would be pretty awesome to patent an invention at some point.
