Where were you born?
In beautiful Naples, Florida.
What drew you into the legal field?
When I was a young boy I used to sit in my father’s courtroom and watch trials. I knew I wanted to (eventually) join the legal field after watching a particularly talented lawyer perform a surgical cross-examination and instantly change the jury’s mind.
What did you do prior to graduating law school?
I played professional basketball abroad for three years after undergrad. Following that, I started a youth basketball program that put on camps and clinics for kids in Southwest Florida as wells as parts of Asia and South America.
What are you most proud of in the last year?
There are two things. Getting engaged and joining the Johnson Fistel team!
What is your definition of success?
Achieving a long-term goal.
If you could do anything, instead of being a lawyer, what would you do?
Be a head coach in the NBA.
If you returned back as an animal, what animal would you be?
An eagle. I would be able to see all the things I was once familiar with but from a different point of view.
If you could live anywhere in the world other than San Diego, California, where would it be?
Crete, Greece, where my fiancé is from.
Dog, cat, both, or neither?
Both. I have one of each; Judge (German Shepherd) and Padfoot (rescued stray).
What is one thing most people do not know about you?
I’m an avid gardener.
