On May 9, 2023, DouYu announced that a team sent by Hubei provincial branch of the Cyberspace Administration of China (the “CAC”) will conduct an inspection due to “alleged violations of content rules and regulations on its platform.” The CAC team is expected to conduct an on-site inspection spanning one month.
