Johnson Fistel Challenges You to Help Fight Hunger

Founding and managing partner, Frank Johnson, was recently interviewed by CBS local news to raise awareness about Food from the Bar sponsored by Feeding San Diego to address a critical area of need in San Diego.  To watch the segment, click here

During summer, nearly half of San Diego County students will lose access to nutritious meals that they rely on while in school.  Thus, it is imperative we do not forget about the over 100,00 children in San Diego County that are food insecure.  The U.S.D.A (United States Department of Agriculture) defines food insecure as “the limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate and safe foods, or limited or uncertain ability to acquire acceptable foods in socially acceptable ways.”  For the past several years, Johnson Fistel has participated in raising money for needy families through the Food from the Bar program during which San Diego’s legal professionals join in a friendly competition to reach out to their colleagues, friends, and family to raise needed funds for and to volunteer at Feeding San Diego.  Feeding San Diego supports families, kids, seniors, military families, college students, and more demographics who face hunger.  We are trying to raise awareness and more money than in prior years.  If you are able, please help by donating by clicking here.  Even if it’s just a few dollars, realize that 95% of every dollar raised goes to feeding the hungry and every $1 dollar donated provides two nutritious meals for San Diegans facing hunger.
