Johnson Fistel is pleased to announce the addition of Attorney Oliver S. tum Suden to its Georgia office. Oliver will focus his practice on securities and shareholder derivative litigation.
Prior to joining Johnson Fistel, Mr. tum Suden served as Assistant Attorney General in the Commercial Transactions and Litigation Division of the Georgia Office of the Attorney General, where he prosecuted and defended breach of contract actions, litigated tax appeals, and represented beneficiaries in the merger and acquisition of charities and nonprofit organizations.
Mr. tum Suden is a graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, where he graduated in the top half of his class, he served as Notes Editor on the Journal of Intellectual Property, President of the Asian Law Students Association, member of Phi Alpha Delta A.H. Stephens Chapter, and Hearing Officer on the Honor Court. He received an award for his outstanding contributions to the Journal of Intellectual Property.
During law school, Mr. tum Suden was an Honors Clerk at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in the Enforcement Division’s Complex Financial Instruments Unit, focusing on fraud in connection with sophisticated financial instruments. While at the SEC, Mr. tum Suden investigated an insider trading ring and built a successful case against a hedge fund manager for misrepresenting assets under management.
Mr. tum Suden is an active member of the Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association and University of Georgia Mentor program.
