Johnson Fistel Partners Receive Recognition

Recently, Johnson Fistel partners W. Scott Holleman, Michael I. Fistel, Jr., and Frank J. Johnson received the following recognition for their efforts on behalf of the firm’s clients:
W. Scott Holleman, a partner in the firm’s New York office, has been selected to the 2018 New York Rising Stars list. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The annual selections are made using a patented multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The result is a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of exceptional attorneys. Mr. Holleman is the third attorney at Johnson Fistel to have been recognized by Super Lawyers, joining his partners Frank J. Johnson and Michael I. Fistel, Jr.
Additionally, Michael I. Fistel, Jr., a partner in the firm’s Marietta, Georgia office, recently received an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubble. Martindale-Hubble has recognized lawyers for their strong legal ability and high ethical standards for more than a century, and serves as the gold standard in attorney ratings. According to Martindale-Hubble, an AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating demonstrates that a lawyer has reached the height of professional excellence and indicates very high to preeminent legal ability and very high ethical standards. Only an elite group of approximately 10 percent of all attorneys holds an AV Preeminent Rating. Such a rating is established by confidential opinions from members of the Bar, and is the highest peer rating an attorney can receive from Martindale-Hubble. Mr. Fistel is the firm’s second attorney to earn such an honor, joining Managing Partner Frank J. Johnson.
In its March 2018 edition, San Diego Magazine recognized Frank J. Johnson as one of the Top Lawyers in San Diego. Each year, San Diego Magazine compiles a list, based on peer reviews, of local lawyers who have reached the highest levels of ethical standards and professional excellence. This year, the magazine recognized only six lawyers in San Diego to be considered among the Top Lawyers in Complex Litigation, and Mr. Johnson made the list. This is the fifth consecutive year that San Diego Magazine recognized Mr. Johnson for his achievements.
